Hewlett mother-fucking Packard...can suck it.

So We've had this HP2700 series printer for decades. Works great. An amazing photo printer and just printer in general.
The scanner is a little problematic. Color is a little off, slow as balls, generally sucks. If you want to scan anything above 100DPI and your in for pain and suffering on an epic scale. But, I bought a Brother high speed scanner which works great.
So when we bought this thing Windows XP was "the bees knees". Go to the HP website, download the drives for this thing and it just worked.
Fast forward to Windows 7, pretty much the same story.
Again with Windows 10, download, install, just works.
Welcome to fucking Windows 11! I hate Windows 11. I hate everything abut it. I hate that Microsoft refuse to learn some very VERY harsh lessons when it comes to people and the operating systems they want to use.
But I digress...this is about mother fucking HP!
"...HP recommends using the HP Smart app to.." blah blah blah blow me blah.
You can NOT install a printer with this app unless you allow the software access to location data.
HP....wants my exact location...or it won't install the driver!
WHAT!?
Seriously, the app will not install unless you give it access to location data. Well...fuck you HP! My own mother doesn't know my exact location! For that matter neither does my wife and she's in the next room!
Ya wanna know what the difference is between a programmer and a hacker? Attitude!
Those of you wanting a "way around", download the Windows 10 legacy driver, install it using Windows legacy mode, attach via IP address.
If that doesn't work. Oracle Virtualbox can be used to setup a Windows 7/10 virtual machine. Network share the printer from that. Run it in headless mode.
SUCK IT HP!
OUT.....
