So those that know me are aware that I fully endorsed Mark Kelly for the US Senate.

Now....in an unbelievable series of events....Donald Just Suck My Balls Trump has become president. He's appointed a complete and total moron as Secretary of Defense (among other positions...I mean I hate people in general...I'd be a perfect Sec Of State!) who seems to ejoy giving illegal orders.

Well, Senator Kelley and other members of the Senate made a video reminding soldiers of what the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) says. 

.....a servicemember may be punished by court-martial for failure to obey any lawful general order or regulation. The UCMJ does not define what “lawful” means.  The Rules for Courts-Martial say that an order is lawful, “unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it.”  The Rules go on to say that, “This inference does not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.”  Finally, the Rules say, "The lawfulness of an order is a question of law to be determined by the military judge."

Simply...you can refuse illegal orders

They tell you this when you go through basic training. It's re-enforced each time you make rank. It's clearly stated in the UCMJ.

You can Google what happened, and the Presidents disgraceful, disrespectful, childish response yourself.
